July practice break

July practice break
The West of Scotland Kyudo Society will be taking a short break from practices from 10th July 2017 through 29th July 2017. Practices will resume as normal at Prestwick on Sunday 30th July 2017 with Edinburgh practice dates to be confirmed in due course. There will also be delays in replies to emails until 24th July.

Beginners – September 2017
Please note that while we will accept beginners from September 2017, those who have reached a stage of being able to shoot will be expected to make an effort to attend a Prestwick practice at least once a month. In our main dojo in Prestwick, we learn/practise taihai (formalised movements), kihon no shisei and kihon no dousa (basic postures and movements), tachi timing (shooting as a group) and progressing toward shooting matomae (shooting at a target of a distance of 28 metres).
